After gaining 15 years of experience in the home construction field, firm founder Steve Heyward launched Heyward Builders thirteen years ago with a singular vision: to create a limited number of superbly crafted custom homes.

Steve himself takes time to give back to the community. He currently serves on the board of directors for East Cooper Habitat and is actively involved with Operation Home, the Charleston Trident Home Builders Association and both its Custom Builders Council and its Remodelers Council.
